Irene Richards Sterrett was the daughter of Natalie Taylor and Robert T. Sterrett, the granddaughter of Irene Richards Taylor and the great granddaughter of Samuel P. Richards. Natalie Taylor and Robert T. Sterrett married February 21, 1912. Irene Richards Sterrett was born August 15, 1913. She died when she was 10 years old. (See MSS 176 Richards, Samuel P. Samuel P. Richards, stationer and book dealer, was born March 3, 1824, in Hooknorton, Oxfordshire, England, and died April 18, 1910, in Atlanta, Georgia. His family immigrated to the United States, first to New York and then to Penfield, Georgia, when he was young. He attended Mercer University in Penfield (1846-1848).
